“I am delighted to announce that Emmerson Packaging is the process of investing a further $10 million this year in new equipment for our Amherst and Belleville facilities, in addition to having hired over 80 new employees”, says Stephen Emmerson, President & CEO. “We are fortunate to serve essential markets such as food, pet food and towel and tissue. Our teams in both locations have been working hard to keep up with elevated grocery store demands.”

The new equipment was ordered prior to the pandemic to meet the ever-evolving needs of major brand owners across Canada and the United States. Especially popular have been the company’s sustainable packaging options, some of which have tripled in sales over the last year.

Installed so far this year are converting and support items such as anilox cleaners, plate-making equipment, a new high-speed slitter, as well as an additional Totani CT-60 pouch-making machine for our Belleville location.

Even bigger news is a new 10-colour W&H 50” NovoFlex printing press and a W&H Optimex film extruder, both being installed in our Amherst location before the end of the year.
